With a background in visual art and storytelling, Tang blends compelling imagery with distinct narratives to create impactful messaging, branding, and creative direction. They are a graduate from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in English and a U.G. in Gender and Women's Studies. They are currently the Deputy Director of Digital for California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Tang's work explores themes of identity, nostalgia, and intimacy through colorful, dreamlike imagery and mixed-media textures. This is especially reflected in their love for live music, seeking to capture the emotion, energy, and story of an artist's performance through still and animated imagery. They have provided photography coverage for Universal Music Group's Island Records, Goldenvoice, Live Nation, and Another Planet Entertainment. Their work has been featured in Vogue Italia, Billboard Indonesia, Sacramento's Golden 1 Center, Rice & Spice Magazine, and other publications. Their collaborative social media strategy for Governor Newsom's office has been recognized by Politico, Marie Claire, The Washington Post, and others.
